Umekita 2nd Project GRAND GREEN OSAKA Upscale Hotel Brand to be Hotel Hankyu GRAN RESPIRE by Hankyu Hanshin Hotels, Scheduled to Open in the Second Half of Fiscal 2024

TOKYO, Japan - February 14, 2023 - The joint venture of nine companies (“JV9” )^*1 in charge of the Umekita 2nd Project GRAND GREEN OSAKA^*2 (“the project”) led by Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd., announced that the brand of the upscale hotel operated by Hankyu Hanshin Hotels Co. Ltd.,^*3 which is located in the South District, will be Hotel Hankyu GRAN RESPIRE. The hotel will be named "Hotel Hankyu GRAN RESPIRE OSAKA" and is scheduled to open in the second half of fiscal 2024.

The RESPIRE brand is a new brand of Hankyu Hanshin Hotels, inheriting the concept of "providing a place to have a rest, feel inspired, and be filled with vitality" from the RESPIRE brand launched in 2019. The word "GRAN," which means "great" or "wonderful" in Spanish and Italian, has been added to the brand name to seek a higher quality of relaxation. This is an upscale hotel that adds the comfort of nature and peacefulness in the city and mature elegance to the RESPIRE brand.
JV9 started construction for the project in December 2020 and is aiming for advance opening in summer 2024. Hotel Hankyu GRAN RESPIRE OSAKA, together with the two previously announced hotels, Waldorf Astoria Osaka and Canopy by Hilton Osaka Umeda, will welcome a diverse array of guests from around the world to Japan and Osaka/Kansai region.

1. Hotel Hankyu GRAN RESPIRE OSAKA
Hotel Hankyu GRAN RESPIRE OSAKA will be located on the 5th to 28th floors of the South District rental building, East building. The hotel will have a total of 482 guest rooms, mostly 23 m², and will feature facilities such as a restaurant, bar, lounge, fitness center, etc.
With the design concept of "Natural State," the hotel will be decorated with lush greenery to create a space that offers nature and comfort.
The hotel will mainly target the older generation of inbound tourists who are experienced travelers, visiting Osaka (Umeda) for sightseeing and leisure. By creating new value that can only be found in this hotel, it will invite customers to a different world where they can escape from the bustling urban setting.

■Common facilities

• Club lounge
  The upper floors (26th and 27th) are the club floors with slightly larger guest rooms. The club lounge on the 27th floor is for the exclusive use of guests staying on the club floors. The lounge offers a high-quality space where guests can relax in comfort and enrich their REST to rejuvenate for the coming day.

• Guest lounge
  On the 6th floor, a guest lounge will be available exclusively to guests staying at the hotel. The lounge offers a facility that can be used flexibly by experienced travelers according to their own personal style, and includes a small room for changing clothes and a powder room.

■Guest rooms
All 482 guest rooms are designed to accommodate up to two guests, creating a space to be enjoyed by adults where they can relax and enjoy their time in their natural state.
