GRAND GREEN OSAKA Advance Opening Today, September 6

TOKYO, Japan – September 6, 2024 – The joint venture of nine companies^*1 (“JV9”) led by Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd., announced that its development project, GRAND GREEN OSAKA, celebrated its advance opening today, September 6. To commemorate this occasion, an opening ceremony was held, where a brass band performance was accompanied by nearby residents and visitors, celebrating the birth of this new district. The opening events scheduled from September 6 to 8, will feature special live performances at the “Rohto Heart Square Umekita,” the park's iconic event space under the large roof, along with various street events to add excitement to the advance opening.
GRAND GREEN OSAKA is a multi-purpose facility that includes offices, hotels, core function facilities, commercial establishments, an urban park, and residences. The concept behind the project is the Creation of “Osaka MIDORI LIFE” ~Combining “MIDORI” and “Innovation”~ and the urban development has been carried out to create diverse forms of value through opportunities to encounter others in the district and sustainably improve society overall together with everyone.
Starting today, Umekita MMO General Incorporated Association (“MMO”), formed by JV9, will act as the designated park manager for UMEKITA PARK for the next 50 years, overseeing park and area management. The park will offer a wide range of participatory programs, seasonal events, and unique experiences, aiming to foster a sense of pride and attachment among visitors. Additionally, the core function facility JAM BASE^*2 also opened today. This facility is designed to bring together companies, universities, research institutions, start-ups, and venture capitalists to collaboratively shape new ideas and support their implementation in society and business.
Even after the grand opening, JV9 will continue working toward the realization of “Osaka MIDORI LIFE,” aiming to improve people's quality of life, create opportunities for personal fulfillment, and conduct sustainable corporate initiatives and innovations, thereby co-creating new societal value.

Opening Schedule
GRAND GREEN OSAKA is a multi-purpose facility that includes offices, hotels, core function facilities, commercial establishments, an urban park, and residences. For this advance opening, a portion of UMEKITA PARK (all of the South Park and part of the North Park), the hotel Canopy by Hilton Osaka Umeda^*3, the commercial area SHOPS & RESTAURANTS, and the core function facility JAM BASE in North District have opened. The South Wing is scheduled to open around spring 2025, and the remaining portion of UMEKITA PARK (part of North Park) is slated for a spring 2027 opening.
