ORIX Group Introduces New ORIX Group Purpose & Culture:
“Finding Paths. Making Impact.”

TOKYO, Japan – November 1, 2023 – ORIX Corporation (“ORIX”) announced today that it has introduced a new “ORIX Group Purpose & Culture” to define its role in today’s world and unite its people globally in delivering new value to stakeholders worldwide.

“Corporate groups like ORIX Group have an increasingly important role to play in today’s world where the global business environment is more complex, and expectations around sustainability continue to grow,” commented Makoto Inoue, Group CEO.

ORIX Group came together globally to answer these expectations in the “ORIX Group Purpose Discovery Project” which launched in June, 2022. The project involved dialogue with customers, investors, and, as a centerpiece, a series of workshops involving 103 Group employees covering all our regions and businesses across the world, to deeply consider the strengths and unique attributes of ORIX Group, the type of future we want to create and the significance of our role in the world going forward.

This resulted in “Our Purpose”, which defines why ORIX Group exists in our world, and “Our Culture”, a set of shared values that ORIX Group employees around the world live and champion to achieve our Purpose.

Established in 1964, ORIX Group has grown from its roots in leasing in Japan into a diverse corporate group active around the world in financing and investment, life insurance, banking, asset management, real estate, concession, environment and energy, automobile-related services, industrial/ICT equipment, ships and aircraft. It operates in around 30 countries and regions with approximately 35,000 people.

In 2024, ORIX Group celebrates its 60th anniversary, and by “Finding Paths. Making Impact.” we unite globally around the diverse expertise and innovative thinking of our people to help our world develop in a sustainable way.
