ORIX Signs Joint Development Agreement with Hokkaido Electric Power Company for Onshore Wind Power Generation Project in Date, Hokkaido

TOKYO, Japan - May 19, 2023 - ORIX Corporation (“ORIX”) today announced that it has signed a joint development agreement with Hokkaido Electric Power Co., Inc. for an onshore wind power generation project in Date, Hokkaido. The two companies will continue to jointly conduct studies on wind conditions and environmental impact assessments to determine the commercial feasibility of the project.

ORIX actively promotes power generation from renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, geothermal, and biomass in Japan and overseas. Through its business activities, ORIX will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
