ORIX Life Commences Handling of Pet Insurance by Pet Medical Support Inc. by Mail Order
~Affordable premiums and enhanced coverage of up to 1.1 million yen per year for medical treatment~

TOKYO, Japan - April 14, 2023 - ORIX Life Insurance Corporation (“ORIX Life”) announced today that it will commence mail-order sales^*1 of “PS Insurance (household animal insurance)”, a pet insurance by Pet Medical Support Inc. on Monday, April 17, 2023, as its agent.^*2

Since its launch in 2008, PS Insurance has been supported by many customers with more than 180,000 insurance policies in force^*3 as a product that offers enhanced coverage^*4 of up to 1.1 million yen per year at affordable premiums. By adding this product to its lineup, ORIX Life will respond to the needs of customers who are concerned about the cost of medical treatment for their pets in addition to the needs for conventional life insurance.

ORIX Life’s mail-order sales have been in operation for more than 25 years since 1997 and currently receive approximately 100,000 applications per year: among the best in the industry. For this product as well, promotion will be conducted through newspaper advertisements, the internet, and other means that make full use of marketing expertise. ORIX Life will support customers who live with their pets by communicating the importance and necessity of pet insurance to as many people as possible.
