KAGAWA, Japan - September 30, 2020 - Anabuki Construction Inc. (“Anabuki Construction”) announced that it is using an invoice digitization system. The system is intended to streamline work processes involved in the receipt of invoices, and thereby promote teleworking.

In addition to its Head Office and 13 branch offices, Anabuki Construction also carries out business at numerous construction sites, showrooms, and other locations. At a total of 80 or so work sites, the company currently receives approximately 2,000 invoices per month. Introduced in June 2020, the new system enables Anabuki Construction to receive, automatically itemize, and internally approve digital invoices that have been created and issued by its customers; it has resulted in a significant reduction in invoice-related workloads. Going forward, the company also plans to expand the scope of its digitization to contract documents.

The spread of COVID-19 has led a large number of companies to introduce teleworking systems, and in this respect, the invoice digitization system provides a number of benefits that can also be felt by our customers. In contrast to invoices sent by post, digital invoices enable returns and corrections to be made via the system; the system also contributes to reductions in workloads and postage fees. For these reasons, since its introduction in June, an increasing number of Anabuki Construction’s customers have been using the system, with 98% of invoices now issued in digitized form.

Anabuki Construction intends to maintain its position as a community-centered and integrated real estate and construction company. To this end, going forward it will promote the use of advanced technologies to optimize work processes and so cater to the needs of its customers.

1.About the Invoice Digitization System
Anabuki Construction uses the BtoB Platform Invoicing system developed by Infomart Corporation (https://www.infomart.co.jp/e/index.asp Open Link in New Window ). This cloud-based electronic invoicing system complies with the Act concerning Preservation of Electronic Books, and contributes both to cost reductions and promotion of teleworking systems for accounting work.

2.Merits of the BtoB Platform Invoicing System
(1)Expedited monthly accounts closing
Since invoices issued by customers can be received immediately, the system has helped expedite monthly accounts closing.
(2)Reduced itemization entry workloads
The system features learning functions that enable the automated itemization of categories and accounts items, which can then be automatically entered into the accounts system; as a result, the system has reduced human errors in invoice related work.
(3)Systemized approval workflows, and strengthened internal controls
The system visualizes “who” approved “when,” and has thereby made progress checks easier.
(4)Compliant with the Act concerning Preservation of Electronic Books
The system eliminates the need to preserve original invoices in paper form, and has contributed to going paperless.
(5)Reduced costs for customers
For customers, too, the system has reduced the time and effort required to create and send paper invoices, and also reduced postage costs.
