ORIX Miyauchi Foundation Donates Seven Vehicles to Social Welfare Facilities in Fiscal 2019

TOKYO, Japan – March 31, 2020 – ORIX Miyauchi Foundation announced today that it has donated a total of seven vehicles to seven welfare facilities across Japan in fiscal 2019.

In April 2006, ORIX established the “ORIX Social Fund” with the goal of contributing to society in fields not covered by its business activities, such as social welfare, children and youth, environmental protection, music, culture and arts, sports, and international cooperation.

The “ORIX Foundation” was established in April 2010 to continue the activities of the Social Fund and, in December 2010, it was approved as a public interest incorporated foundation. Its name was changed to “ORIX Miyauchi Foundation” in June 2014.

The Foundation has made donations of welfare vehicles since 2006. In fiscal 2019, it has donated to social welfare facilities in Saga Prefecture, which was affected by heavy rain in August 2019, and in Fukushima and Saitama Prefectures, which were affected by Typhoon Hagibis in October 2019. Including its donations in fiscal 2019, ORIX Miyauchi Foundation has now donated a total of 117 vehicles to 115 social welfare facilities nationwide.

Going forward, ORIX Miyauchi Foundation will continue to provide support for various social activities as a member of the ORIX Group with the goal of contributing to the realization of a truly affluent society.
