ORIX Real Estate to start Refurbishment of All Guest Rooms at Hotel JAL City Haneda Tokyo
Accommodation to start successively from February 10, 2020, with completion planned for April 2021

TOKYO, Japan - January 30, 2020 - ORIX Real Estate Corporation (“ORIX Real Estate”) announced that it will refurbish all guest rooms at Hotel JAL City Haneda Tokyo that it operates.

For this complete refurbishment, which is the first time such a project has been implemented since its opening, the aim is to achieve completion of work on all 308 guest rooms on all 10 floors by early April 2021. Work will be completed on four floors (6th to 9th floor), covering 132 guest rooms, by April 3, 2020. Under the second stage, the remaining six floors (176 guest rooms) will be refurbished between January and April 2021. From February 10, 2020, it will also be possible to stay in guest rooms for which the refurbishment has been completed even while the overall refurbishment work is still taking place.

Approximately 60% of the guest rooms at Hotel JAL City Haneda Tokyo are single rooms. Due to strong demand for business use, space design with a refurbishment theme of “dozing time” will be used to enable guests to experience greater comfort during their stay for work or travel. The bed headboard can be changed into an ergonomic curved shape to make it easy to use as a backrest while leisurely reading or using a computer while seated on the bed. In addition, small, movable side tables will also be installed. Guest rooms will have calm earth color tones of brown and beige, while furniture will have wood patterns to give guests a sense of warmth.

Shared spaces will incorporate features typical to a Haneda hotel. Based on the idea of an airport, airplanes and wind, the floor of the corridor leading from the elevator hall to guest rooms will be lined with an originally-designed carpet with motifs such as Haneda Airport’s runway to produce a sense of fun when heading to one’s guest room. Timber artwork depicting an image of cutting against the wind will be displayed in the elevator hall.

ORIX Real Estate opened Hotel JAL City Haneda Tokyo in April 2005. Together with Hotel JAL City Haneda Tokyo West Wing, it currently operates 411 guest rooms. Going forward, it will continue to progress to meet the needs of travelers with a diverse range of needs.

The hotel has 11 above-ground floors, 308 guest rooms and can be very conveniently accessed from Haneda Airport by free shuttle bus or car (approx. 10 min.), and 3 min. by foot from Anamoriinari Station on the Keikyu Airport Line.
Free Wi-Fi and high-speed internet can be used in all guest rooms, with full business support in addition to comfortable facilities.
Sofa seats, private booths and open terrace seats are offered at the restaurant, responding to a diverse range of needs from early morning through late at night.
