ORIX Bank to Participate in Project to Develop Smartphone App for Regional Financial Institutions
~Partnering teamLab and Japan Asset Management Platform to optimize points of contact with customers~

TOKYO, Japan - March 27, 2019 - ORIX Bank Corporation (“ORIX Bank”) announced today that it will participate in a project to develop a smartphone app for regional financial institutions; the project is currently being jointly implemented with teamLab Inc. (“teamLab”) and the Japan Asset Management Platform Group’s JAMP Financial Solutions Co., Ltd. (“JAMP Financial Solutions”).

The development of the app—including its design and screen operations—will be carried out entirely by teamLab, which boasts a rich track record of developing apps for major financial institutions, airlines, and other companies; ORIX Bank will provide supervision and, at the same time, utilize the networks with regional financial institutions across Japan to propose implementation of the app. The app will aim to provide standard banking services such as account balance inquiries, bank transfers, and direct debit via a simple and highly usable interface. In addition, the app is intended to be easily customizable, in terms of its designand in-app functions for example.

teamLab and JAMP Financial Solutions are working together to develop and provide regional financial institutions with digital solutions aimed at optimizing points of contact with their customers*. ORIX Bank will participate in the app development projects, which is one of these digital solutions.

With the advance of IT technologies, apps are being increasingly used as effective tools for providing customers with all manner of services, particularly by major financial institutions. By minimizing app development costs, this project seeks to create apps that are easy for regional financial institutions to implement; the project is also intended to contribute to the resolution of the management problems faced by these banks.

Going forward, ORIX Bank will continue to use its financial services to create new markets and contribute to society.
