Private Nursing Homes GOOD TIME LIVING Saga-Hirosawa and GOOD TIME LIVING Saga-Arisugawa Win Top Awards for Building and Service Concept at the 6th Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards 2018

TOKYO, Japan – May 24, 2018 – ORIX Living Corporation (“ORIX Living”), announced that it was named the winner of the category “FACILITY OF THE YEAR - AGEING-IN-PLACE AWARDS” at the 6th Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards 2018, held on May 16, 2018 in Singapore. At the same event, Etsuaki Morikawa, president of ORIX Living, was also selected as an AGEING ASIA GLOBAL INFLUENCER.

ORIX Living entered two facilities – including GOOD TIME LIVING Saga-Hirosawa, a private nursing home, and GOOD TIME LIVING Saga-Arisugawa, a private residential senior home and Annex – in the category that recognizes facilities which provide an environment for older adults to age in place, with integrated care and services tailored to the physical needs of the individual resident. At the awards presentation, the two facilities were recognized with the top prize not only for this service concept, but also for their efforts to motivate their residents and support their independence.

At the same time, Etsuaki Morikawa, president of ORIX Living, was selected the winner of the AGEING ASIA GLOBAL INFLUENCER award. He was recognized for his efforts to create new value in senior care regardless of the constraints of the long-term care insurance system, building a new business model for eldercare. He was also recognized for playing an important role in the industry by offering policy recommendations both domestic and international, and by providing his experience-based knowledge and expertise to contribute to countries throughout the Asia Pacific region.

ORIX Living will continue studying the way of senior living that is recognized not only in Japan, but internationally as well.

■Ageing Asia Innovation Forum
The Ageing Asia Innovation Forum (AAIF) organized by Ageing Asia Pte. Ltd. is an eldercare business conference that brings together the owners of private-sector companies, NPOs, investors and over 800 other participants from more than 20 countries and regions. This year marks the ninth year of the conference. This year’s event was held on May 15–16 at Sands Expo and Convention Centre (Marina Bay Sands) in Singapore, drawing the interest of many in the region who are involved in ageing and caring for the elderly.
