ORIX Acquires All Shares in NOZOE INDUSTRY, a Packaging Materials Wholesale and Recycling Company
Mar 17, 2026
TOKYO, Japan – March 17, 2026 – ORIX Corporation (“ORIX”) announced today that it has acquired all shares of NOZOE INDUSTRY INC. (“NOZOE INDUSTRY”), a company engaged in the wholesale and recycling of flexible plastic packaging materials.
NOZOE INDUSTRY is a packaging materials wholesale and recycling company with a business history spanning more than 60 years. Its core business is the sale of stretch film used in the logistics industry to secure and protect cargo, and it focuses primarily on packaging materials made of flexible plastics. In addition to sales, the company handles the entire process from collection of used materials to recycling and market supply of recycled products, thereby establishing a resource-circulating business model.
Through this investment, ORIX will combine ORIX Group’s nationwide sales network and knowledge in the resource circulation field with NOZOE INDUSTRY’s collection network and recycling expertise to advance initiatives for the further growth of NOZOE INDUSTRY. In addition, while leveraging the expertise ORIX has cultivated over many years in enhancing corporate value, ORIX will enhance NOZOE INDUSTRY’s governance framework and management foundation and aim for sustainable growth by leveraging the strengths of both companies.

Environmental regulations have been strengthened in recent years, particularly in Europe, and the use of recycled plastics has been expanding in product design and materials procurement at companies. Against this backdrop, packaging materials such as stretch film are relatively easy to collect in good condition after use and have characteristics that make them suitable for recycling. However, establishing collection and recycling as a sustainable business requires certain systems and expertise. In the logistics industry, pallet transportation has been expanding amid labor shortages, and demand for recycled materials is expected to increase further alongside growing demand for packaging materials.
In light of these social trends, ORIX positions the recycled plastics business as a growth area in the environmental sector and will continue building its business foundation. In addition, ORIX will expand the scope of flexible plastics it handles and will also consider future expansion into various types of plastics used in fields such as automobiles and home appliances.
As one of its focus areas, ORIX has set “global warming and limited resources” and is working toward realizing a circular economy. To date, ORIX has worked to recycle used products, including achieving horizontal recycling of aluminum window frames and window glass*. ORIX will continue to expand its business across a wide range of materials and contribute to the realization of a circular society.
