ORIX Bank Plants 162 Saplings in Osaki, Miyagi

TOKYO, Japan - November 10, 2023 - ORIX Bank Corporation (“ORIX Bank”) announced today that it donated the equivalent of 162 tree saplings to Osaki, Miyagi in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2023, and its employees personally planted the trees. ORIX Bank has been conducting an effort to donate to tree-planting programs based on the number of customers who agree to paperless delivery of loan-related documents^*1.

ORIX Bank donates 30 yen to tree-planting programs for each customer who opts for paperless delivery of documents mailed to customers who use its loans such as real estate investment loans^*2. A cumulative total of 27,133 customers have opted for paperless delivery by the fiscal year ended March 31, 2023, and the donations of 813,990 yen from the third installment of the program (January 4, 2021 to March 31, 2023) were used to purchase 162 saplings through the Environmental Relations certified N.P.O. In addition, ORIX Bank employees themselves planted the saplings with the support of this organization.

ORIX Bank will continue its efforts to help realize a decarbonized society by reducing paper usage and reforestation through donations.
