Feb 07, 2022
TOKYO, Japan - February 7, 2022 - ORIX Corporation (“ORIX”) announced today that it will continue its gift catalog-style shareholder benefit program “Furusato Yutai”*1 in fiscal 2022. Individual shareholders of record as of March 31, 2022 will be eligible for the program.
Furusato Yutai is a shareholder benefit program in which eligible shareholders can select a single product of their choice from a gift catalog. Products featured in the catalog are carefully selected from among products of the ORIX Group’s business partners across Japan. Shareholders who have held 100 or more shares for a continuous period of three or more years*2 are eligible to select a single product from a more extensive catalog.
As of September 30, 2021, approximately 737,000 individual shareholders have invested in ORIX; this is a significant increase compared to the company’s 45,000 shareholders, before the start of Furusato Yutai (as of March 2014). ORIX believes that the shareholder benefit program is a valuable opportunity to deepen the understanding of its investors—particularly individual investors—in the diversified business content of the ORIX Group. The Furusato Yutai program was launched in fiscal 2015. Its gift catalog features a collection of products offered by ORIX Group business partners, and enables shareholders to become more familiar with their products; it is also an opportunity for shareholders to recognize that the Group’s trade network with its partners across Japan is the foundation upon which its business is built.
ORIX will also continue its Shareholder Benefit Card program in fiscal 2022. Through this program, individual shareholders are eligible for discounts on a variety of services offered by the ORIX Group. Individual shareholders are encouraged to take advantage of this program in combination with Furusato Yutai.
With regard to dividends for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2022, ORIX has decided to determine the dividend amount for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2022 by adopting either a dividend payout ratio of 33% or an annual dividend per share of 78 yen, whichever is higher*3. By further enhancing shareholder returns, ORIX intends to fulfill the expectations of all its stakeholders, including individual investors.
