CROSS MALL Toyotajinnaka Grand Opening Scheduled for October 11, 2019

TOKYO, Japan – October 1, 2019 – ORIX Corporation (“ORIX”) announced that it had completed the construction of CROSS MALL Toyotajinnaka, a commercial facility developed in Toyota-shi, Aichi Prefecture, with the grand opening scheduled for October 11, 2019.

This property comprises land on the previous site of Yamanaka Toyota Frante, a commercial facility of YAMANAKA CO., LTD. (“YAMANAKA”), which operates grocery supermarkets mainly in Aichi prefecture. Located in the center of the city in a commercial cluster area along National Route 153, it is easily accessible by car. In addition to YAMANAKA, it has a total of ten tenants, which respond to the lifestyles of customers of a wide range of ages. Tenants range from clothing and daily necessity stores such as UNIQLO, Matsumotokiyoshi and Nishimatsuya, to a fitness studio.

ORIX concluded a fixed-term land lease contract for business purposes with the land owner, and is engaging in leasing buildings that ORIX has planned, developed and constructed to tenants as an initiative for building lease contracts on fixed-term leased land. ORIX is involved in the initiatives throughout Japan. Since its first such project in 1994, it has developed over 600 such sites nationwide.
