ORIX Begins Capital Tie-Ups Involving Business Support Service Companies for Medical Institutions

TOKYO, Japan - July 3, 2017- ORIX Corporation ("ORIX") announced today capital tie-ups with CMC Corporation ("CMC") and MedImage Corporation ("MedImage") for the purpose of promoting business support services for medical institutions.

CMC and MedImage provide business support to the medical administration at Utsunomiya Central Clinic (operated by DIC Medical Corporation), which provides high-quality service in the field of preventative care.
Utsunomiya Central Clinic provides preventative care services by diagnosing serious medical conditions, such as cancer, through complete annual medical examinations, regular medical examinations, and a members-only "medical club." It is fully equipped with advanced and latest diagnostic imaging equipment, such as MRI, CT, and PET-CT, which greatly contributes to the health of the local community. At the end of this year, the Clinic plans to introduce high-precision radiation therapy machines, and commence with latest radiation therapy.

The population of Japan is expected to continue to grow older, and preventative care is likely to be a growth area going forward, with the evolution of medical techniques and technology added to peoples' heightened awareness of their own health. Furthermore, promoting a longer, healthy life expectancy through preventative care is thought to lead to reduced medical expenses, which have tended to increase of late, and contribute to the sustainability of the health insurance system.
