Donations of Welfare Vehicles
-Welfare Vehicles Donated to Four Social Welfare Corporations in Tokyo, Nara, Gunma Prefectures-

TOKYO, Japan -March 31, 2014-ORIX Foundation announced today that it has donated four welfare vehicles to four social welfare corporations in Tokyo, Nara, and Gunma Prefectures.
The ORIX Foundation is the successor to the ORIX Social Fund established in April 2006 with the aim of providing ongoing support in fields beyond the scope of corporate activities. This includes social welfare, the nurturing of children and youth to be future leaders, and musical and cultural arts. The ORIX Foundation took over the ORIX Social Fund's activities in December 2010 after receiving approval as a public interest incorporated foundation.
Donations of welfare vehicles have continued since fiscal 2006, with a total of 65 vehicles donated to 65 social welfare corporations nationwide by fiscal 2012. Among these, 35 specially equipped welfare vehicles and ordinary automobiles to social welfare corporations along the Pacific coast of Miyagi and Iwate prefectures in fiscal 2011 as part of support for recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake. These vehicles were paid for by donations collected from ORIX Group corporate officers and employees, along with a contribution from the ORIX Foundation.
In fiscal 2013, the ORIX Foundation donated four welfare vehicles to corporations that were suffering from a lack of automobiles.
