Yayoi to Launch “Yayoi 16 Series,” its Latest Desktop Application That Accommodates the “My Number System”

Oct 13, 2015

TOKYO, Japan -October 13, 2015 - Yayoi Co., Ltd. ("Yayoi"), the provider of "Yayoi Series" (software application for business users) and a subsidiary of ORIX Corporation, will launch "Yayoi 16 Series," the latest version of its desktop application on October 30, 2015. Yayoi 16 Series includes the following software applications: "Yayoi Accounting 16," "Yayoi Payroll 16," "Yayoi Sales 16," "Yayoi Tax Return 16," "Yayoi Payroll Calculation 16," "Yayoi Quotation, Delivery and Invoice 16," and "Yayoi Customer Management 16."

Since the Social Security and Tax Number Act went into effect on October 5, 2015, all business operators, a total of approximately 4 million organizations, are obliged to comply with the social security and tax number system (commonly known as the "My Number" system). Meanwhile, in a survey1 conducted by Yayoi, many small businesses responded that they are unsure about how their employees' new social security and tax numbers ("ID Numbers") are to be obtained, or when they plans to take measures to accommodate the new system.

Business operators, in order to comply with the My Number system, are required to design and implement internal policies in accordance with the specified guidelines2 and take responsibility to safely manage their employees' ID Numbers. However, concerns remain for these businesses as many are not prepared to respond to new requirements in a timely manner, and many have also budget considerations. Given this situation, Yayoi, in line with its mission of being a "business concierge", will continue to provide software solutions and necessary support so that small businesses can comply with the My Number system on their own, at a minimum cost.

Yayoi provides strong support for small businesses so that they can enhance their compliance with the My Number system. For instance, Yayoi's payroll applications, "Yayoi Payroll 16" and "Yayoi Payroll Calculation 16" offer technical safety measures, such as data encryption and permission management, while "Yayoi's Maintenance and Support" offers consultations on matters related to the My Number system, as well as online templates for internal guidelines and outsourcing contracts required to comply with the My Number system.
