ORIX Auto to Integrate 3 Rental Car Brands to Create a Network of 1,000 Rental Shops
―Improving Customer Convenience by Enhancing Rental Shops Near Train Stations,
Aiming to be the “Chosen Rental Car” Brand―

TOKYO, Japan - May 30, 2012 - ORIX Auto Corporation, a subsidiary of ORIX Corporation, today announced that it has decided to integrate its 3 rental car brands-ORIX Rent-A-Car, JAPAREN Rent-A-Car and X Rent-A-Car-into the single ORIX Rent-A-Car brand. ORIX Auto will successively switch the JAPAREN Rent-A-Car and X Rent-A-Car rental shops to the ORIX Rent-A-Car brand.

ORIX Auto has heretofore expanded its rental car business under 3 distinctive brands. ORIX Rent-A-Car's strengths lie in the ORIX Group's corporate sales network, JAPAREN Rent-A-Car boasts a track record and customer confidence built up over more than 40 years in business, and X Rent-A-Car has a sales base closely tied to local regions^*1.

Recently, the rental car market has seen an increase in people who find more value in "using" rather than "owning" automobiles due to lifestyle changes, along with ever-increasing demand for rental cars driven by corporate cost-cutting needs. In light of these trends, ORIX Auto intends to step up efforts to meet the needs of customers seeking to use automobiles more efficiently and easily. To this end, ORIX Auto plans to integrate its rental shop network under a single brand, while accelerating the development of shops close to train stations, where there are strong customer needs. The goal is to expand the rental shop network to 1,000 shops^*2 within the next 5 years.

In conjunction with these measures, from July 2012 ORIX Auto will revise its Rent-A-Car Prime Members Club membership system focusing on individual customers. This will entail upgrading discount plans and other member services, and renewing ORIX Auto's Rent-A-Car Prime Members Club website, in an effort to attract new members along with enhancing convenience and services for existing members^*3.

Leveraging its strengths as an automobile service provider offering a comprehensive range of services, including auto lease, rental car and car sharing services, ORIX Auto will continue to provide services that answer various customer needs.

*1 X Rent-A-Car joined the ORIX Group from the Showa Shell Group in October 1999, while JAPAREN Rent-A-Car joined the ORIX Group from the former Japan Energy Group in October 2003.

Outline of Revisions to Rental Car Membership System for Individuals / Website Renewal*
●　New Web Reservation Discount
An additional 5% Web Reservation Discount will be applied to the basic discount when customers make reservations via the website. Discounts of up to 20% will be available.
●　Free Member Registration
The member registration fee when enrolling at rental shops will be free of charge.
●　Expanded Vehicle Classes Eligible for Discounts
Some popular compact car models that were previously excluded from discounts will be eligible for discounts.
●　Search Function to find Rental Shops Nearest to Landmarks
In addition to addresses, airports, and train stations, rental shop locations can now be searched using landmarks (for example, TOKYO SKYTREE).
●　Vehicle Recommendations
Recommendations will be made for vehicle models that meet the requirements for number of passengers, baggage and other criteria.

About the Rent-A-Car Prime Members Club
The Rent-A-Car Prime Members Club is a membership system for individuals, which allows members to utilize ORIX Auto's nationwide rental car network (ORIX Rent-A-Car, JAPAREN Rent-A-Car and X Rent-A-Car) at special prices.

ORIX Auto runs a loyalty program where members progress from standard memberships to gold and platinum memberships according to their usage of rental car services, with members receiving services according to their rank.
