Tetsuo Matsumoto joined ORIX Corporation in 1974. After appointments that included Branch Manager of the Ikebukuro Branch in 1990 and General Manager of the Real Estate Department in 1998, Matsumoto became a Director of ORIX Real Estate Corporation in 1999, Corporate Senior Vice President in 2000 and was responsible for areas that included real estate development and operations, and rental business. Matsumoto became a Corporate Executive Officer of ORIX Corporation and Deputy President of ORIX Real Estate Corporation in April 2001. Matsumoto became an Executive Officer under a "Company with Committees" structure in June 2003. Matsumoto was appointed a Group Executive and Deputy President of ORIX Real Estate Corporation in February 2005 and Executive Officer in June 2006. In June 2007, Matsumoto was appointed a Corporate Senior Vice President and Head of the International Real Estate Business Headquarters and a year later in June 2008 he was appointed Group Senior Vice President whilst continuing his duties as Deputy President of ORIX Real Estate Corporation.
