Kenji Ito joined ORIX in 1984 after beginning his career at J.Osawa & Co., Ltd. (Presently J.Osawa Group Co., Ltd.). He was made the General Manager of the ICT Business Department in March 2001. In February 2002, he was promoted to General Manager of the Office of the President. Ito was appointed Corporate Senior Vice President of ORIX Rentec Corporation in October 2004, and was then promoted to the Corporate Executive Vice President of the same company in October 2008. In January 2010, was promoted to Group Executive and assumed the position of President of ORIX Rentec Corporation.
