Construction to Start on Mega-Solar Project at Tokachi Speedway
- 21.0 MW Maximum Output for Sarabetsu, Kasai, Hokkaido -

TOKYO, Japan — July 5, 2013 — ORIX Corporation (TSE: 8591; NYSE: IX), a leading integrated financial services group, announced today that it will begin constructing a large-scale solar power plant (mega-solar) with a maximum output of 21.0 MW (21,027 kW) on idle land it will lease inside the Tokachi Speedway circuit operated by MSF Co., Ltd. in Sarabetsu, Kasai, Hokkaido. The village of Sarabetsu boasts one of the highest levels of sunlight in Japan. The project will be promoted with the cooperation of the regional community.
