ORIX to Establish Insurance Consulting Sales Company
- Establishes Retail Channel to Strengthen Insurance Sales Business -

TOKYO, Japan - October 26, 2012 - ORIX Corporation (TSE: 8591; NYSE: IX), a leading integrated financial services group, announced today plans to commence business operations at ORIX Insurance Consulting Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary established as an insurance consulting sales company.
ORIX Insurance Consulting will sell life insurance products, mainly to the retail market, including individuals and sole proprietors, through consulting sales. For some time now, various ORIX Group companies have been conducting consulting sales in the corporate market, as independent agents for multiple insurance companies. ORIX Insurance Consulting will handle not only ORIX Life Insurance Corporation's insurance products, but also insurance products of multiple life insurance companies, in pursuit of greater customer satisfaction in the retail market.
Furthermore, ORIX Insurance Consulting will handle insurance products of multiple non-life insurance companies, such as automobile insurance and fire insurance, as well as various financial products and services, such as the ORIX Group's automobile leases. In doing so, the company plans to cater to customer needs for more than life insurance.
The establishment of ORIX Insurance Consulting will add a face-to-face retail sales channel to the ORIX Group. This should allow ORIX to offer best-fit products and services and provide a more detailed response to customer needs than before.
