Social Contribution Activities Overview
Here is an introduction of the main ORIX Foundation activities.
Social Welfare
Donation of Assistive Vehicles to Centers for the Disabled in Japan
ORIX has donated assistive vehicles that can be used by people in wheelchairs since 2006. These vehicles are a great means of transportation for physically disabled individuals and also serve as an opportunity for interaction. Donations have been made to 25 facilities so far.
In 2011 ORIX donated a total of 35 assistive and regular vehicles to social welfare facilities primarily in the costal regions of Miyagi and Iwate Prefectures as a part of its support to the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake.

Children Invited to Participate in the Project to Save the Coral Reefs of Okinawa
ORIX Real Estate has been inviting Okinawan children to participate in the Project to Salve the Coral Reefs of Okinawa since its inception in July 2008. The children tried their hands at building stands for transplanting coral seedlings while learning about the seas surrounding Okinawa which are home to world-renowned coral reefs. Through this program ORIX aims to instill in the children a deeper understanding of nature and environmental protection.
